Well if you look down, you’ll see two poasts that say mostly the same thing…. except that the second one rants about the fact that the first one deleted itself… figures it would show up doesn’t it?

Well, I tried to poast this earlier in response to the comment on the first poast, but it wouldn’t let me add a comment or new poast. But if you’re reading this then I guess it worked! :)
Ok, so if I read that comment right, it had to do with my choice of blog title. So I figure I’ll give a history of where the name came from.
Taniith: First, I’m a Gater (Stargate Fanatic). As such, I remember the character from a few seasons ago named Tanith. Now, I needed a new name for Earth and Beyond a while ago (before EA did their thing and killed it). I racked my brain and chose Taniith (having already used Anubis, Apophis, etc). However, either because it was used or because I was afraid of some sort of law suit that would never exist, I decided to change it a bit. So, I thought again and what came to mind was one of my favorite video games; Homeworld (made by Relic). In the game, the homeworld that is referred to is called Hiigara. Note the two “i”’s. So now the double “i” has become common in my online names, and the name Taniith has followed me through many games and web sites.
Relto: If you didn’t catch it from the first poast, I’m a huge Myst fan. This obviously includes Cyan’s most recent game URU. Now, URU was supposed to be the first of its kind… a thinking/adventure MMO. Though it didn’t pan out, I was one of the lucky ones to get into the “Prolog” beta and it had a huge impression on me (as did the eventual offline expansions of course, but I digress). Every player received a Relto of their own where they first entered the game when logging in and where they were able to link to each of their “ages.” So when I made this blog, I couldn’t think of a title except to use my nickname and a place. Where else but Relto? (If you can’t tell, its almost 2 AM and I’m starting to have trouble thinking).

Oy, I just wrote a big poast about where the name for this blog came from, in response to the comment on the other poast, and it went ahead and erased itself by having uploading errors!
Ok, so this page won’t let me add a comment, so I guess I’ll just poast about it. That first comment on my other poast was about the name of this blog (I think). So I’ll just go ahead and explain it straight away:

Well, I’ve had this blog for about a month now….. and I haven’t posted a thing. Funny that, because plenty of stuff has happened in my life. I’ll try to sum it up:
Well First off, I went back to school and got into our brand new STATE OF THE ART black box theater. Now, I do tech for the performances at my school (you know, I build the sets and do the lights) so this theater is really exciting. 60 new lights, huge expensive light board, a scene shop twice as big as anything we had before (last year we had a closet). I can’t wait for the first shows to go up!
Ok, next is a sadder note. My grandfather, who was on life support all summer, died. But that’s not all, it was almost a month to the day after his wife died. Imagine that! Now, I wasn’t that close with my grandfather, so it doesn’t effect me as much directly, but the psychological strain of helping my family through it is not that fun. But still, things are looking up; people were actually relieved to an extent since it was so unnerving for them to see him on life support all summer.
Well then, lets try to move away from that into something a bit happier, shall we? Here goes:

If you can’t tell from that, or the fact that this is my “Relto,” I’m a huge myst fan. I just wish the damn guy at gamestop hadn’t talked me into preordering at the store….. otherwise I could’a gotten free 2nd day shipping from UBI Soft :(. Oh well. I’ll have it soon enough :).
Well, that’s it for my first poast (no, that’s not a typo)… how’d I do?
