I just remembered something I forgot to talk about in the other poast. It has to do with one of the great sci-fi shows: Gene Roddenberry’s Andromeda. This, in my opinion, is a must watch show for sci-fi fans…. at least the first 2 seasons if not the rest. Granted this show could have been better had RHW not been kicked off of the show he helped create, but its still a good show. Go see it. Now.
……
…………………………
Please?
While I’m at it, I think I’ll make note of more sci-fi. Fist is my feelings on Stargate SG-1. It had a great ending last season, and there is no reason to drag it on; at least not while it is still being called the same show. The people in charge of it are even saying it is essentially a new show: well in that case make a new show instead of dragging a good show through the mud! I have to say that Sci-fi Friday with the openings of the big three shows (SG-1, Atlantis, and Galactica) was not quite as good as it could have been. With the exception of Galactica, which really seems to have improved from last season, the night was not very good. There was no reason to shorten the intros to the shows, and the night just felt…. wrong somehow.
I don’t know. I guess I’m just getting angry at the administration of Sci-fi Channel a lot recently. Sorry for my rant, especially if it made no sense to you.

Well, this is the first poast here in quite a while. Maybe I’ll get around to updating frequently, who knows?
Anyway, this is mostly a shout out about an online game called EVE Online. Its a great game set in space in the future where one can do anything at all: Be a pirate, a CEO of a corporation, a trader, a miner, anything at all. The in-game market is even totally player run (well, almost totally).
I joined EVE last year after the sad demise of Westwood’s Earth and Beyond, I had a lot of fun but in the end I left for Star Wars Galaxies and then tried World of Warcraft. Well, after all that, I talked to my friends in EVE and ended up heading back about six months ago. Low and behold, I’m finding it fun now that I’m not in charge of a corporation anymore; I’m just a little old miner who is currently thinking about getting a second account. I recommend the game to anyone who like sci-fi games and online communities.
Oh, and if anyone has heard of the show (as in theater) Hedwig and the Angry Inch, we put it up this past spring in the new theater mentioned below. It was really a great show (I’m still going through withdrawal). If anyone happens to read this blog and wants to see pictures, ask in the comments section and I might figure out how to put some up.
Anyway, I guess that’s good for now…. oh wait; I almost forgot to mention: Anyone who likes Myst and hasn’t heard, Myst V: End of Ages is coming out in the fall/winter of this year. If you didn’t catch on from the title, it is going to be the last Myst game (for now anyway). So if you have any interest you should be sure to pick it up. For more info, try some of the links on the side of this blog.
Well, bye now.
