Anyway, I say the new Narnia movie (Lion, Witch, Wardrobe) yesterday. Before I review it, I just want to know what happened to theaters being empty on Christmas?! The place was packed for the show before us, and for ours…. they even had to move the ladder off the front row (I don’t know, so don’t ask)!

Regardless, time to review. I thought the movie was very well done and kept to the book really well. That being said, there were a lot of parts that I thought were rushed over…. you know, important scenes that were done in about 30 secs (much like the beginning of the recent Harry Potter movie). I also think that the actress of the White Witch didn’t put enough feeling into her part. In all, I think it’s fun to watch, and nice to see a good high budget movie of this classic series, but I still prefer the BBC version for the full story.

The BBC made the first four books into movies, with the first one being four hours (2 tapes), the next two were each one tape of two hours each, and then the silver chair was another four hour one again (I think)

Besides, I hold great respect for any movie that can get me to cut up bed-spread, masking-tape it to my legs, and do a book report as a fawn.

If you want to know more about that, you gotta earn it ;P

Oh, and to all the new people who are reading the blog…. care to say where you are coming from and where you are getting to my profile from? Is it on some Myst thing, or are you all clicking my name when I comment on my brother’s blog (Thinkers Anonymous)? Just a quick comment will suffice, otherwise I might start poasting geographical locations that people are looking from and calling you out! (;P)

Well, on the blog of another Myst fan, I came across this challenge. Essentially, it presents you with 10 images and asks you to decide if they are real photos or CG(computer generated). If you get them all right, you get to take a tougher bonus round with only 4 images.

I managed a 10/10 on the first round, and a 3/10 on the second…. what do you get?

And people wonder why I criticize movies so much these days for being to obviously CGified….. I just can’t help but see the fakeness of this stuff anymore :(

Congratulations to my Sister! As of “December 22nd 2005 06:31:53 PM” she was logged in to my counter as the 100th log entry while making a comment on the “gifts” poast. This means that the tracker starts deleting the logs at the beginning.

Our next goal, 200 logs!

And while we’re on the topic, please comment the last poast (”gifts”) so I can get an idea of how terrible I am at designing bead animals. Even if you have no idea who I am and just stumbled on this blog, comment anyway :-P !

Well, I have no idea what to do for gifts for my family, but for my friends I’m rekindling my skill in the lost art of bead animals. Here’s my dilemma:

Now, if you had to guess what animal that is supposed to be, what would you say? (please tell me, I need to know if my design works or if I need to rework it)

My intention is in the comment, but please don’t read it till you’ve made a guess.

So, I’m now on vacation. WOOT! Already, lots of interesting developments.

First, as of about an hour ago, I finally placed the order for my new Alienware laptop. I can’t wait to get it. (And for you crazy people out there who were yelling at me to get a Mac…. tough!)

Secondly, its that time of year again. No, not christmas time (only 6 shopping days left till Holiday ;) ). I mean, time for my semi-anual beard-off. For before and after pictures, go here. The password is “public”, and the album is called “beard”.

Oh, and as a note, Dave W. is capable of very insightful comments I learned last night. If you read this Dave, you should be like that more often!

I got my acceptance letter to WPI… along with information about their highest merit scholarship…. which I received.

So, I’m happy.

Edit: Just to clarify, since Marjorie seems to think its unclear (ie she didn’t get it): This Is Talking About College. I got into the CDIA for next year around Halloween. This is about getting accepted to COLLEGE!

Oh, and Marjorie…… please don’t make fun of Esher…. it hurts his feelings. Make fun of my impression of him instead.
