Well, it has taken me a lot of time, and some more ‘free’ Microsoft software to do it… by the way, you do realise why that sort’a stuff is free right? Yes boys and girls, we are talking about spyware…. only it is Microsoft, so it is really called “content.” Where was I? Oh yes; it took some doing, but I think I finally have a viable method for streaming videos off of my site. This means that I may *start voice* push forward with vigor!
Sorry, it had to be done.
Unfortunately, it involves using the aformentioned Microsoft software to encode the stuff into Microsoft formats, so I have a strange hunch that it aint gonna work on every computer. I wish I could use Quicktime, as that sounds like it streams much better, but the files are about 33 times larger (yes, I did do math there…. what, just because its been months since I tried encoding them as Quicktime files doesn’t mean…); it would be nice, but I have to do more research first.
In the meantime, I will be able to put stuff up in a way that can be seen by some people, which in my book is better than nothing. I didn’t say I am doing this right away, but soon…. hopefully soon.
Did I mention that crazy GM… the link is a post or two down. That guy is great! I haven’t laughed so hard so many times since… well… since that hour long game of UNO between Dave, Julia, and myself. Trust me, that blog (and his other one… where he is a goblin NPC) are a great way to make a few days pass. Honestly, jsut about all I have done the past 2 or 3 days is read that blog while listening to my Ok Go CDs…. What?! Why do people get on my case about my Ok Go CDs?!

Click
I believe this guys blog speaks for itself. I’ve only managed to get through the first month and a half of poasts so far, but the guy is hillarious! I think I might need to click on that Paypal link of his… too bad he already closed the ‘$5 or more donation fanclub membership’ thing; sounded like fun. I only wish I knew more about the Final Fantasy MMORPG sometimes, because he uses game specific terms that I don’t understand.
Oh well, enjoy!

If you click the More button, you will find a nice long survey. Why did I make it so you have to click the button? Because it is VERY LONG and would take up lots of space. Enjoy :)

Yep, you read right… Sci-fi channel has officially cancelled Stargate: SG-1. They are keeping Atlantis going for another year at least, but they are done with SG-1. The second half of the season will air in March. However, Rob Cooper (executive producer) has said that SG-1 will go on; be it a TV movie, a miniseries, another channel switch, or an SG-1 movie. It sounds like the contracts were signed for two years instead of one this time, and they just need to find somewhere else to show the story.
I still say that if ther aired the shows an hour earlier, it would do wonders for the ratings…. oh, and airing them with Galactica like they used to wouldn’t hurt either….

Um, why did I not hear about it when Five O’ Clock Shadow “officially ‘rebanded’” in May last year?! WHY?!
Apparently they are ‘back together,’ though they only do a few shows a year. For instance, this one. Hmm, I might have to go…. They broke up, rebanded, and now perform at the same theater…. interesting, no?

*edit* It is even more stange because I am (or used to be anyway) on the mailing list, and I would have thought they would have sent at least a memo….

That’s the sound a truck makes as it backs up. It is a similar concept, in words anyway, to the fact that I just backed out of the whole Footlight Club thing for now (give me a break… I’m tired and it was the best title I could come up with…). I felt like I couldn’t really deal with the community theater thing at the moment, so I went to the first light hang today (also a set build day, but thats not my department ;p) and told them. They seemed fine with it, not in the “good, get out” sense, but in the “well, thats too bad, but do what you gotta do” sense. I figure when I have more time and desire, I will try again, and apparently I am being kept on the spam….erm…. mailing list O_o. So, yeah.
Oh in other news, Marty and Marjorie managed to drag me to the beach on Thursday (first time in…. well, a long time). I have to say, it was fun, if only because of the company ;D. They spent a good while trying to get me to dunk me head under the freezing cold water, but I was content to just have it up to my neck. I guess I could have put on the goggles I brought to protect my eyes from the evil dirty water, but I think they would have laughed at me more (Marjorie was already angry about my flip flops…), so I just didn’t use them. Marty also treated us to lunch (pizza), and dinner (Lobster for anyone who wanted, hamburgers and chicken for me and his sons who hate seafood). We ended up leaving around 10, getting stuck in traffic, and I got home around 11. She still had to drive to Burlington and then back to her beach house…. but she loves driving and having no sleep, so I doubt it was a problem.
Yep, thats the update for now.

Here’s OK Go. What I want to know is where they found 8 (maybe even 10, behind the camera?) treadmils….
edit: Ok, the movie is refusing to embed, so here’s a link instead.
