I think that somewhere, deep down, I enjoy being alone. I don’t mean in the normal sense, because I certainly enjoy having my own place and spending time alone; instead, I’m talking about somehow enjoying making myself miserable by *always* being alone.

Stupid Americans… wait, I’m starting to sound like… no, that what I meant. Stupid Americans and shame on the BBC for caving like that. What the hell good is Torchwood without all that stuff? Its already only partially good, I can’t imagine it without the awkward moments.

So, apparently, the 2008 faculty award for young faculty (or something), went to my two academic advisers this year. I find this to be very interesting indeed. Lindeman I chose, but Rosenstock was assigned, and yet I am more than happy to have both. Unfortunately, I’m not sure I’ve left a favorable impression on Rosenstock thanks to this bloody project, but hopefully that will change next term; I’m taking the artistic class referenced in that link, so hopefully I can change the impression by doing good work ‘in my element’ as it were, since I’m obviously not qualified for the ECE-type work I’m attempting to do on the project!
There’s a feeling worse than pain. I don’t know how to describe it. The word that comes to mind is weakness, but I don’t think that’s right. Its the feeling that comes with having weak wrists… and its not fun.
