In case you were unaware, the balk part of the Footlight Club is currently sinking into the ground.
Did you catch that? Here, let me say it a little louder. PART OF THE FLC IS SINKING INTO THE GROUND. *ugh* sometimes I wonder why I am here…. but then I remember all the ridiculous circumstances and crappy equipment keep life interesting.
And how often to you get discussions like the ‘he lost the buff’ from last year? ;D
I tell ya though, I do not feel like going in there for the focus tomorrow morning. It sure was nice to have Marty around today to give me a hand with the complicated stuff. I got to be *his* boss today (to which, I am told, Marjorie started quoting Star Wars over, so a win win).

I’ve been trying to stay away from spoilers until I see the new Star Trek movie… but I fucked up. I was reading an article on io9 about the best ***** in scifi (don’t really remember what). Well, apparently I would have know there was a spoiler in it somewhere if I had read more than the first sentance or two of the into, but I skipped to the meat of the article. Big mistake.
Lets just say that I read about an explosion that has rather severe consequences for the overall timeline. Now of course, for those who know what I’m talking about, my reaction was one of conflicting thoughts. Some mixture of ‘WTF?’, ‘why did I read that?!’, ‘wait, that can’t be right’, and ‘how the hell can he do that?!!’. Its really annoying to know that before seeing the movie, but at least maybe the lack of surprise well help me to keep down the anger when I see it.
ugh.

Over the past week I rewatched Blackpool. It is just such a ridiculous and awesome show! I love this whole British thing of dong lots of small but awesome miniseries (like Jekyll and Blackpool). This time around I even ended up buying a couple of the better songs. I still haven’t seen Viva Blackpool (the sequel), but without the murder mystery and David Tennant, I’m skeptical.
Ok, its getting late and I have to drive back to Worcester tomorrow, so this’ll be the last one for the night. Incidentally, it is kinda ridiculous because I’m driving back to make sure I take out the trash, then coming back to Newton the next day and staying till Sunday or so. Its kinda ridiculous.
It all started innocently enough. A friend of mine (female) took on of the Facebook quizes, called “which Sailor Scout are you?”, or something to that effect. Yeah, right, no big deal. So then I took it, cause I like Sailor Moon and all, and of course got the butch lesbian Sailor Scout. This led to amusing discussion between me and said friend, bringing up things about the character, until somehow it was suggested that a big Sailor Moon watching thing had to occur. Then another friend joined in the conversation, and we are suddenly having Sailor Moon (and maybe Cardcaptor Sakura) watching night this summer and hopefully more during the year ;D
I find this whole thing highly amusing. I was even hesitant to do the quiz because it might be weird, but then I realized that that never stopped me in the past and look what came out of it, heh. Plus, in addition to watching awesome kid’s/girl’s anime, it provides to opportunity to hang out with someone I wouldn’t mind getting to know better…
Of course we all know that means absolutely nothing where I’m concerned, so in the end I suppose it just comes down to hanging out watching ridiculousness.
